Hi, I’m Julian Woodcock, Managing Director of Viking Mines.
We recently released the results for our 1220 sample auger drilling program, completed at our First Hit Lithium and Gold Project.
The project is located 60kms South of Delta Lithium’s significant resource at their Mount Ida project.
I’m extremely pleased with the results of this first press program, especially as we only tested 55km of our substantial 493km2 landholder with 19 anomalies identified, eight of them of high priority, warranting immediate follow up field work and further exploration.
The results delivered peak lithium assays up to a value of 138 ppm, with 95 of the samples returning greater than 50 ppm. This allowed us to define all the anomalies, with the three largest being formed at Odin, Loki, and Heimdall, all of which are greater than 1.5 km in length.
Many of the anomalies are continuous over multiple auger traverses have associated pathfinder elements with them, and also we’ve seen that they’re associated with pegmatites, which have been identified in mapping in the area.
These factors support the company’s belief that we have significant potential to discover LCT pegmatites on our tenure.
With our very strong cash balance of more $5 million at the end of the December quarter, Viking are very well positioned to further the exploration in this project.
I look forward to providing further updates in the future as we advance our exploration activity on the First Hit Lithium and Gold Project.
