I’m Nicole Duncan.
I’m the Managing Director of NickelSearch, and I’m here today to talk about the recent land access agreements that we announced.
The land access agreements allow us to put in POW applications and then start drilling on some pretty key areas of our tenements.
We have eight drill targets over these areas and what we’re looking for is more information about the LCT system or the #lithium-#caesium-#tantalum system that we’ve identified there.
It’s quite a normal agreement where there’s privately held land, any exploration company needs to have both the occupier and the owner of the land agree to your presence there and your activities.
And so we had to get this one access agreement in place because of a change in the ownership structure.
So we sat down and negotiated it and really gladly, we got it through. For these eight drill targets we’ve submitted the application to the government for approval to drill. That’s called a POW.
I’m told that those applications are taking between two and four weeks to process.
We don’t need flora, fauna and cultural heritage surveys for these areas.
So as soon as we get those approvals, then we’ll be able to start drilling.
These eight targets are only over a subsection of our tenement.
In fact, we have 14 drill targets in total at the moment and 30 ongoing areas of interest, again, only over a subsection of our tenements.
So we’re continuing to do the work we need to complete before we can drill the remaining drill targets.
And we’re also continuing the work on the other areas of interest.
So that is rock chip sampling, mapping, soil sampling, just to study these more closely.
And we have new tenements in the area, so we’re doing the initial work there.
So we’ve got a lot of work underway to really test the lithium potential across our quite significant land package in Ravensthorpe.
