Matthew Keane:
Hi everyone, I’m Matthew Keane, Managing Director of Great Southern Mining, GSN.
I wanted to give you an update on our exciting drilling programme, which we are undertaking at our 100% owned Duketon project in Western Australia this year.
2023 is going to be probably one of our most intensive drilling programmes or drilling years at this project in many years.
In effect, what we’ve done over the last two years is really worked up our targets and we’re going to hit them intently.
At Southern Star, this is our most advanced prospect in our project area. It sits just 4km south of Regis Resources Ben Hur. So Ben Hur is a deposit that Regis commenced mining this quarter. So at Southern Star, look we’ve defined about 700 metres of mineralisation, pretty shallow at this stage, only down to about 150 metres below service and it’s open in every direction. So what we want to do this year is get underneath the drill depth extensions, but also we’ve got geochem anomalies both to the north and south and all up we’ve got about 7.5km of strike here which we really haven’t hit with intensity.
In addition, there’s also a parallel trend which may be developing to the west so there’s a bit to get on with here.
To the north of our tenure, we’ve got the Golden Boulder& Amy Clarke prospects. These have extensive strike length. We’ve got 5km of gold anomalism at Amy Clarke and up to 3km of historic workings at Golden Boulder.
We’re going to get in there and intensely drill these prospects as well through the year.
In addition, late last year we actually defined a further five high priority targets, which we haven’t even touched yet so these will also be worked up as a pipeline.
2023 for Great Southern is going to be a very intense year of drilling. In the first half we’re drilling out in particular that those 3 prospects I mentioned.
In the latter half of the year, we’ve hopefully defined that mineralisation and we’re doing resource drill out.
So that should see us going from an explorer to developer. If all goes well for Great Southern this year, which I am confident it will.
Thank you very much.
