Michael Scantlebury: Hi, my name is Michael Scantlebury, Senior Resource Analyst at Euroz Hartelys.
Markets were mixed overnight with the CPI data coming out in line with expectations. Most base metals, copper and gold were all down overnight as well. Miners were a bit softer as well. However, the largest news event overnight was Livent/ All Chem merging deal US$10 billion merger of equals.
Kind of fits with the battery thematic here at the RIU conference with many of the companies presenting today. Looking forward to a strong third day with crowds already building here at Sydney.
