In September of 2022, we received all of our key project approvals, allowing us to start full scale construction. Liontown’s approach to ESG has been one of early adoption and execution. We knew that we needed to create an ESG framework that was scalable for the project, and we’re doing that now. ESG is something that is heavily embedded within our organization at every level.
It’s really exciting when my coworkers come to me with exciting new initiatives that really align with our ESG philosophies.
When I started at Liontown, the bar had already been set pretty high. They’d already released their first sustainability report with some pretty exciting goals. Net zero by 2034, understanding our climate risks and looking to align ourself with the IRMA standard.
We have started the TCFD Risk Workshops. We have completed the very extensive self-assessment to align ourselves with the IRMA.
